SIEMENS SIMATIC S7-300/400 SERVICE

Target audience

The course is addressed to persons who want/will install the SIMATIC S7-300/400 PLC’s or have to make the  software reception and those who have to solve defects/faults in the installation of the SIMATIC S7-300/400 PLC’s. For example: programmers, commissioning engineers, configuring engineers, service personnel, maintenance personnel. 

Required knowledge

S7-BASIC, S7-SYSTEM module or a similar level of knowledge and experience. 

Goal

After completing this module, the participant is able to:

• perform the mechanical and electrical assembly of the SIMATIC S7-300 / 400 PLCs;
• set up a PROFIBUS DP network and to connect Master and Slave components;
• interpret the operation of the error lights;
• test the hardware configuration;
• access the input/output cards using the STEP7 software;
• perform structured reception of a complete program, recognize and solve hardware and software errors on SIMATIC S7-300 / 400 PLCs;

• Hardware assembly (mechanical / electrical).
• Access the input and output cards.
• Testing the hardware components and the CPU.
• Structured reception of the program.
• Correction of minor programming errors.
• Make a backup of the final program.
• Troubleshooting (internal and external errors).
• Process analysis, use of documentation.
• Errors on input and output cards / hardware diagnostics with STEP7.
• Correct the wrong settings in the program: timers, counters and data-words.
• Error analysis for program and hardware using  I-STACK and diagnostic buffer.
• Many practical exercises.
